After all the entries for the events going on in the blogosphere I'll be posting all my long pending recipes for sometime till my next event entries.
Another recipe added to my children's lunch box is this vegetable gravy which can be served with any pulao or rotis,but best with WHITE PULAO .It is again a very simple recipe which can be added as menu when we have surprise guests
Ingredients
Onions-4
Tomato-4
Carrot-2
Beans-5nos
Cauliflower-a few florets
Capsicum-1
Baby corn-3nos
Potato-1
Chilli powder-2tsp/as per taste
Coriander powder-1tsp
Cumin powder-1tsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt-as required
Kasturi methi-1tsp
Fresh cream-100ml
Coriander leaves-to garnish
To season
Oil-as required
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Method
Cut onions and tomatoes to cubes and saute them in oil till they are transparent
Cool and grind them to paste
Precook/boil all the vegetables with little salt
Take oil in kadai add cumin seeds and to it the ground onion-tomato paste
Saute a while and add all the powders to it and saute well
Add the cooked vegetables to it and allow to boil for a while
When fully done add the methi and remove from fire
Finally add the fresh cream and garnish with coriander leaves
This gravy has to be semi-thick and is a combination for any rice or roti
