SPICY GREEN SOUP

SOUP-once regarded as a party food is now liked by one and all for any occasions.Though there are ready to make soups flooding the market the one made at home fresh is at anytime the best and an edge over the ones available readily.Once we start making them at home we can by trail and error learn the art of making them too any variety from the simple Tomato soup to the tongue twisting names like Minestrone soup or Wanton soup. This soup is a very nutritious one,as today many children do not eat curry, mint and coriander leaves.

Ingredients
Mint leaves-a handful
Coriander leaves-a handful
Green chilly-1
Ginger-a small piece
Garlic-3 cloves
Milk-11/2cups
Lime juice-2tbsp
Pepper powder-as required
Cornflour-1tbsp
Salt-to taste
Oil-2tbsp

Method
Clean and wash the leaves, ginger, garlic and chilly
Heat oil and saute the above for 2 min
Add 2 cups of water and salt and pressure cook
Cool, strain and grind the cooked ingredients to paste
Mix the paste to the strained water and bring to boil
Dissolve cornflour in milk and add to the soup and further boil
Remove from fire and add lime juice and pepper powder as required and serve hot

Variation
To make it attractive for children we can add boiled noodles or macroni as children will never say no to these
