Halwa is one sweet which is liked by one and all and is done with any type of ingredient vegetable,fruit or flours.There are umpteen number of ways to prepare it too.I would like to share the way my grand mom does and my daughter just loves it.

Carrot grated-3 cups
Milk-11/2 cups
Sugar-11/2 cups
Ghee-as required
Cashews-as required
Cardamon powder- 1 tsp

Pressure cook the carrot with milk
Transfer to a thick bottomed pan/non-stick pan
Add sugar and keep stirring till the sugar is fully absorbed
Mix in required ghee,roasted cashews,cardamon powder
Serve hot or cold
It is an excellent combo with vannila icecream
