Drumstick is always liked by kids.Drumstick sambar is top rated one in every household because of its taste and flavour and any function this sambar is there to please you.Many have also made 'kootu'or added it in 'avial',Iam not sure how many have tried this curry which children would like for their lunch box.

Onions-2 chopped
Tomato-2 diced
Chilli powder-2tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Water-1/4 cup/as required
Salt-as required

For Seasoning
Mustard seeds-1tsp
Split urad dal-1tsp
Curry leaves-a few
Oil-as required

Cut drumstick to 3 inch pieces
Season the ingredients in oil
Add onions and saute till soft
Put in the drumstick and tomatoes,add chill,turmeric powder and salt
Pour in the water and keep it closed in low flame till done
Use just enough water or the drumstick will get over-cooked
Serve with meals

We end up adding this only in sambars...this sounds to be a good option

we add brinjal/eggplant to this for that extra taste. this looks nice
