DOSA MELA ENTRY

Dosa batter is an all time available ingredient in my joint family with children around having different tastes,so this batter is of utmost important for us.Mostly children prefer plain dosa. This recipe of cauliflower-peas-capsicum masala stuffed dosa was a hurried dish made when my dear hubby who had gone for a business-dinner meet calls me at 10 p.m and tells he will be back for dinner and that too on a saturday night.I opened the fridge which was absolutely empty with little batter(the fresh one was fermenting)a piece of carrot, cauliflower,a capsicum and peas. This masala curry goes well with chappathi or rice but I was too lazy to make them,so I tried this masala as a stuffing for dosa and it was a hit and is a regular menu with different combos of veggies available.

CAULIFLOWER-PEAS MASALA DOSA
Ingredient
Cauliflower-a few florets cleaned
Peas-1/2 cup
Capsicum-1/as required
Onions-1

Chillipowder-as required
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder-1tsp
Cumin seeds-1/2tsp for seasoning
Oil-2tsp
Salt-as required

Method
Take oil in a kadai and season with cumin seeds

To it add cauliflower and peas saute, add the powders and salt
Pour just enough water for the vegetables to cook
When half done add capsicum, mint and coriander leaves
Simmer and let it cook till the water is fully evaporated
Finally add the garam masala
Make crisp dosas and keep the masala on one side, fold and serve hot
Chutneys is your choice, but the masala will itself serve as a side-dish
