Summer has really started here and more of juices are prefered than the regular food for the next 3 months.Anytime a masala buttermilk is the best which can be had without much restriction with just a few ingredients available at home and the most cheap,healthy,low-calorie thrist quencher.Instead of the readily available fruit juices with all the preservatives added to it fresh fruit juices are the next best alternatives
MASALA BUTTERMILK(NEER MORE)
Ingredients
Curd-1cup
Water-2 cups can be altered as per consistency
Green chilly-2 crushed/ground
Ginger-a small piece crushed/ground
Mustard-1/2 tsp for seasoning
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp for seasoning
Asafoetida-a pinch for seasoning
Curry and coriander leaves-a few for seasoning
Method
Blend the curd without lumps
Add water and blend
Add chilly,ginger and season with the ingredients
If you add the chilly and ginger paste just strain before adding the seasoning
If you add the chilly and ginger crushed just remove them before serving
Serve chilled with cut curry and coriander leaves
FRUIT DRINKS
Puree a banana in some orange juice or blend a banana with some water and serve chilled
Juice an orange with a peeled papaya,blend it with banana and blend till smooth and serve in a tall glass
Blend orange juice with pineapple and banana and some ice cubes
Combine 2 cups of unsweetened apple juice with 4 tbsp of pure lemon juice,add sugar to taste and serve chilled
