These are some of the tips about microwave cleaning I came across some years back

• Take a tablespoon of baking soda(bicarbonate of soda) and put it in a microwave safe bowl half full with water.Microwave for 3 min and everything wipes right out
  
• Wet a towel,place it in the microwave and switch on full power for about 30-40 seconds.The steam that comes off the towel will loosen any hardened stains.The same towel can be used to wipe the inside sparkling clean.Just be careful though as the towel will be real hot
  
• Boil a solution of 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1 cup water in microwave safe bowl.The steam will loosen any splattered on food and also deodarise the microwave.
