PEACH HALWA

I've tried this recipe long back with tinned peaches,as we do not get fresh ones in Tamilnadu.Reduce the quantity of sugar a little as the tinned ones will have sweetness.This recipe goes to Mansi's AFAM-PEACH event


Ingredients
Peaches-2cups,peeled and finely chopped
Sagar skimmed milk powder-1/4cup
Sugar-2tbsp
Nutmeg powder-1/4tbsp
Cardamon seeds-1/4tsp
A few strands of saffron
Ghee-2tsp

Method
Melt the ghee in a khadai,add the peaches and stir over a slow flame till they are soft(about 5-10min)
Sprinkle the milk powder,sugar and stir continously on a low flame till the mixture leaves the sides of the kadai
Remove from fire,add the nutmeg powder and mix well
Garnish with cardamon seeds and saffron and serve hot
