I landed up making this rice in an emergency when food had to be packed for children on a Monday morning and has now become a regular menu. The LPG was over and I didn't have a spare.Only rice and potato curry was ready and there was no enough milk for curd rice too.As I was blinking what to do it just struck me to mix the curry and rice and stuffed the tiffen box without telling my children. It so happened they liked it and from then started making with some more taste enhancers and mainly with baby potatoes

Ingredients
Baby Potatoes-1/2 kg
Onions-2
Tomatoes-2
Garlic-4 crushed
Chilli powder-2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1tsp
Besan flour-4tsp
Salt-to taste

For seasoning
Mustard-1tsp
Urad dal-2 tsp
Asafoetida-1tsp
Oil-as required
Curry leaves-a few
Coriander leaves-handful

Can also add coriander powder, cumin powder, but I usually don't do

Method
Precook the potatoes with salt, peel it and keep aside
Heat oil season with the ingredients
Add onions, tomatoes and saute along with chilli, turmeric powder and salt and saute till the raw flavour goes
Add the cooked potatoes and saute, mix in the besan flour and cook in high flame for 5 to 10 min by continously sauting it
Mix with cooked rice and serve hot
