MIXED VEGETABLE PULAO




My addition to Sharmi's JFI event and also an easy recipe for your child's lunch box

Ingredients
Basmati/Jeeragasamba rice-1cup
Onions-3nos cut lenthwise
Mixed vegetables-1cup boiled
Carrots,beans,potato,peas,cauliflower
Salt-as required
Oil-5tsp
Coriander leaves-to garnish

Roast and Grind to paste
Green chilly-3-4nos
Fried gram dhal-3tsp
Khuskhus-3tsp
Coconut scrapped-4tsp
Saunf-2tsp

Seasoning
Cinnamon-3sticks
Cardamon-3nos
Cloves-3nos
Bay leaves-1

Method
Cook rice with salt and 1tsp oil with 2cups of water
Allow it to cool in a plate so that the grains are seperated
Season the ingredients in 4tsp of oil and saute onions till transparent
Add boiled vegetables,ground paste,salt and saute till raw smell goes
Mix this to the cooked rice re-heat and serve garnished with coriander leaves
Any raitha and chips are a good accompaniments
