Run short of bread crumbs.Use cornflakes powder instead.
While making 'pakoras' add a little hot oil to the batter.They will be as light as when you have added baking powder.
For scrambled eggs with a difference,try using a dollop of cottage cheese instead of usual milk and butter
To leftover cooked rice,add finely chopped onions,chilli powder and salt to taste.Mash well and make small shapes out of the mixture and dry in the hot sun.Store them in airtight containers.This can be deep fried and eaten as snacks or as substitute for'papads'.
